Minoxidil works by widening blood vessels, improving blood flow to hair follicles, and stimulating hair growth. It prolongs the anagen (growth) phase of hair, helping to restore hair density and reduce thinning. It is generally prescribed when topical formulations are not sufficient or suitable.
